Makame Mbarawa

Makame Mbarawa is a Tanzanian politician and academic currently serving as a nominated Member of the National Assembly and the Minister of Transport. A member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party, he has held several high-level cabinet positions, including Minister of Communication, Science and Technology from 2010 to 2015, and Minister of Water and Irrigation. Following the cabinet reshuffle in September 2023, he was appointed to lead the Ministry of Transport. His career is marked by extensive experience in infrastructure and public service within the Tanzanian government.
