Doto Mashaka Biteko is a Tanzanian politician currently serving as the Deputy Prime Minister of Tanzania and the Minister of Energy. Born on December 30, 1978, he was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Bukombe in 2015. He previously served as the Minister of Minerals from 2019 to 2023, holding the position under both President John Magufuli and President Samia Suluhu Hassan. In September 2023, he was appointed to his current roles, becoming only the third person in the history of Tanzania to hold the title of Deputy Prime Minister.
