Doug Owens

Doug Owens is an American politician serving as a member of the Utah House of Representatives for District 36. A graduate of the University of Utah and Yale Law School, he spent two decades working as an attorney specializing in business and environmental law. Before his election to the state legislature in 2020, Owens was the Democratic nominee for Utah's 4th Congressional District in 2014 and 2016. In office, he has focused on environmental conservation, particularly the preservation of the Great Salt Lake and the Bears Ears National Monument.
