Duncan Wilson

Duncan Wilson is a Canadian senator representing British Columbia in the Senate of Canada. Appointed in February 2025, he brings over three decades of leadership experience in the maritime sector, government, and non-profit organizations. Previously, he served as Vice-President of Environment and External Affairs at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, where he focused on marine conservation, climate action, and Indigenous relations. A former Vancouver Park Commissioner in the 1990s, Wilson is recognized as one of British Columbia’s first openly gay elected officials and remains a dedicated advocate for LGBTQ2+ rights, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion.
