Edward Argar

Edward Argar is a British Conservative politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Melton and Syston. Previously, he represented Charnwood from 2015 to 2024. Throughout his parliamentary career, Argar has held several ministerial positions, including Minister of State for Health, Paymaster General, and Chief Secretary to the Treasury. He has also served in various shadow cabinet roles, including Shadow Secretary of State for Justice. Before entering national politics, he worked in management consultancy and served as a councillor on Westminster City Council.
