Elias Coop-Gonzalez

Elias Coop-Gonzalez is an American politician serving as a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates for District 67. Born in Guatemala and raised in Panajachel before moving to the United States at age 12, he graduated as valedictorian from Tygart Valley Christian Academy and earned a degree in business administration and economics from Liberty University. Elected in 2022 at age 20, he is recognized as one of the youngest state legislators in the United States. He currently serves on the Banking and Insurance, Energy and Manufacturing, Political Subdivisions, and Veterans Affairs/Homeland Security committees.
