Ellen van Selm

Ellen van Selm is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Purmerend since September 2022. Previously, she served as the Mayor of Opsterland from 2014 to 2022. Before her mayoral career, she was a member of the municipal council of Lelystad representing GroenLinks and worked as a consultant and director for the Democratisch Steunpunt in Rotterdam. She holds a degree in rural sociology and has professional experience in international development, including work for the Ministry of Forestry in Pakistan.
