Emily Alvarado is an American politician and affordable housing advocate currently serving as a member of the Washington State Senate for the 34th district, a position she has held since 2025. Prior to her appointment to the Senate, she represented the same district in the Washington House of Representatives from 2023 to 2025. Alvarado has an extensive background in housing policy, having served as the director of the Seattle Office of Housing and as a vice president at Enterprise Community Partners.
