Emily Suvaal

Emily Suvaal is an Australian politician, trade unionist, and registered nurse currently serving as a Member of the New South Wales Legislative Council. Elected in the 2023 state election, she was appointed as the Parliamentary Secretary for Trade and Small Business in March 2025. Prior to her legislative career, Suvaal worked as a nurse and was active in the trade union movement. She is a vocal advocate for community mental health services, drawing on her personal experience with anorexia to raise awareness and improve support systems within the state.
