Eric van der Burg

Eric van der Burg is a Dutch politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he previously served as the State Secretary for Justice and Security in the fourth Rutte cabinet from 2022 to 2024. His extensive political career includes serving as an alderman in Amsterdam and as acting Mayor of Amsterdam in 2017. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on migration policy, spatial planning, and foreign affairs.
