Erika Kokay

Erika Kokay is a Brazilian politician currently serving as a Federal Deputy representing the Federal District. A member of the Workers' Party, she has held her seat in the Chamber of Deputies since 2011. Before entering national politics, she worked as a banker and was a prominent trade unionist, serving as a leader within the Central Única dos Trabalhadores. Throughout her career, Kokay has been a vocal advocate for LGBT rights, the National Truth Commission, and labor protections, while consistently opposing the nonpartisan school bill and the 2017 labor reforms.
