Etsuko Kamata is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly representing Itabashi Ward. Before entering politics, she had a long career in education, serving as a kindergarten teacher, an elementary school teacher, a vice principal at Nishihara Elementary School in Shibuya, and a supervising director for the Taito City Board of Education. First elected to the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly in 2021, she is affiliated with Komeito and focuses on policies such as supporting the income of the working generation and improving public services.
