Eugenijus Gentvilas

Eugenijus Gentvilas is a Lithuanian politician, signatory of the Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania, and Member of the Seimas. He has had a distinguished political career, serving as Mayor of Klaipėda, acting Prime Minister of Lithuania in 2001, Minister of Economy, and a Member of the European Parliament. An academic by training with a doctorate in geography, Gentvilas has also led the Liberal Movement and authored numerous scientific and journalistic articles.
