Eung-woo Lee is a South Korean politician currently serving as the Mayor of Gyeryong. Born in 1957, he had a distinguished career in the military, retiring as an Army Colonel in 2008. Following his military service, he worked as an emergency planning officer for Asiana Airlines and held various academic positions, including adjunct and visiting professor roles at Howon University and Pai Chai University. He has been active in the People Power Party, serving as the vice-chairman of the National Defense and Security Subcommittee of the party's Central Committee. He was first elected as the Mayor of Gyeryong in 2022 and is currently serving his second term, which began in 2026.
