Fabian Picardo

Fabian Picardo is a Gibraltarian politician and barrister who has served as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar since 2011. A graduate of Oriel College, Oxford, he began his legal career at the firm Hassans before entering politics, eventually leading the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party. Throughout his tenure, he has overseen significant infrastructure projects and social reforms, including the introduction of civil partnerships. In 2025, he faced scrutiny following the publication of the McGrail Inquiry report, which criticized his actions regarding the former police commissioner. Despite previous intentions to step down, he remains the leader of his party.
