Fadila Laanan

Fadila Laanan is a Belgian politician affiliated with the Socialist Party. Born in Schaarbeek in 1967, she studied law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and worked as a legal advisor and civil servant before embarking on an extensive political career. She served for a decade as a minister in successive French Community governments holding portfolios such as Culture, Audiovisual Sector, Health, and Equal Opportunities, and later as a secretary of state in the Brussels-Capital government. She has been a member of the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region and has also served on the municipal council of Anderlecht.
