Fatma Şahin

Fatma Şahin is a Turkish politician and chemical engineer currently serving as the Mayor of Gaziantep. A founding member of the Justice and Development Party, she previously served as a member of the Turkish Parliament and held the position of Minister of Family and Social Policies from 2011 to 2013. As the first female mayor of Gaziantep, she has been re-elected multiple times, continuing her career in public service after working as an engineer and manager in the textile industry.
