Fatmir Xhafaj is an Albanian politician and a long-serving member of the Parliament of Albania, representing Tirana County since 2001. A member of the Socialist Party of Albania since 1991, he has held various high-level government positions, including Minister of Justice from 2003 to 2005 and Minister of Interior Affairs from 2017 to 2018. Throughout his career, Xhafaj has been deeply involved in legislative and judicial reform, chairing the Ad Hoc Parliamentary Committee on the Judicial System Reform and the Committee for Legal Issues, Public Administration and Human Rights.
