Fernando Clavijo Batlle

Fernando Clavijo Batlle is a Spanish politician currently serving as the President of the Canary Islands, a position he has held since 2023. He previously served as the President of the Canary Islands from 2015 to 2019. Before his regional leadership, he held various local government roles, including serving as the Mayor of San Cristóbal de La Laguna from 2008 to 2015. A member of the Canarian Coalition, Clavijo has been active in regional politics since the 1990s and holds a background in economics and business.
