Mario Zubiaga

Mario Zubiaga Garate is a Spanish political scientist, sociologist, and professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). He holds a degree in Law and a doctorate in Political Science. His academic research focuses on social movements, democratization processes, citizen participation, and Basque nationalism. Zubiaga is a member of the EMAN research group and has contributed to various transmedia projects, including 'Tirabirak', which examines the Basque conflict through political cartoons. He is a prominent intellectual in the Basque academic community, frequently publishing on political theory, sovereignty, and social activism.
