José Ignacio Landaluce

José Ignacio Landaluce Calleja is a Spanish politician and surgeon who currently serves as the Mayor of Algeciras. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent member of the People's Party, representing Cadiz Province in the Congress of Deputies during multiple terms between 1996 and 2015. Landaluce is widely known for his vocal opposition to British sovereignty over Gibraltar. In recent years, he has faced significant political scrutiny and legal challenges regarding allegations of sexual harassment and financial misconduct, leading to his departure from the People's Party group in the Spanish Senate in late 2025.
