María Pilar Alegría Continente is a Spanish politician currently serving as a member of the Cortes of Aragon and leader of the Socialist Party of Aragon. Previously, she held significant national roles, including Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports from 2021 to 2025 and Government Spokesperson. Throughout her career, she has served as a deputy in the Congress of Deputies and as a government delegate to Aragon. Her policy focus has centered on education reform, including the expansion of state-funded early childhood education and the modernization of university entrance exams. Following her tenure in the national government, she returned to regional politics to lead the PSOE in the 2026 Aragonese regional election.
