Fernando Soto Rojas is a Venezuelan politician and long-standing member of the National Assembly. A former guerrilla fighter who operated under the alias 'Comandante Ramiro' during the 1960s, he was involved in the 1967 Machurucuto landing and later participated in the Palestinian resistance. In his political career, he served as the President of the National Assembly from 2011 to 2012 and has been a prominent figure within the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the former Socialist League. He remains an active legislator representing the state of Falcón.
