François Legault is a Canadian politician and businessman who served as the 32nd Premier of Quebec from 2018 to 2026. A co-founder of the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ), he led the party to majority governments in 2018 and 2022, focusing his tenure on economic development, the protection of the French language, and increased provincial autonomy. Prior to his premiership, he was a successful entrepreneur and co-founder of Air Transat. He currently serves as a Member of the National Assembly for the riding of L'Assomption.
