Francesca Hong is an American politician and former chef who has served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the 76th district since 2021. As the first Asian American legislator in Wisconsin history, she has focused her legislative career on labor rights, environmental protection, and education reform, including successfully sponsoring legislation to mandate the teaching of Asian American history in public schools. A member of the Democratic Party and the Democratic Socialists of America, Hong is currently a candidate for Governor of Wisconsin in the 2026 election, running on a progressive platform that emphasizes public education, universal childcare, and economic justice.
