Francis Ferdinand Ovalle Angarita

Francisco Fernando Ovalle Angarita is a Colombian politician who served as the 35th Governor of the Cesar Department from 2016 to 2019. Born in Valledupar, he is an agricultural administrator and lawyer by training, having graduated from the Universidad de La Salle and the Universidad de Santander. Before his tenure as governor, he held various public offices, including serving as a member of the Valledupar Municipal Council and the Cesar Departmental Assembly, where he also served as president. Throughout his career, he has been active in agricultural and livestock associations and has held roles within the Ministry of the Interior. His political career has been associated with the Social Party of National Unity (Partido de la U).
