Frank Scarpitti

Frank Scarpitti is a Canadian politician who has served as the Mayor of Markham, Ontario, since 2006. Born in 1960 to Italian immigrants, he began his long career in municipal politics as a York Region Councillor in 1985. Over the decades, he has held various leadership roles, including Deputy Mayor and Budget Chief. Before his current tenure, he briefly served as mayor from 1992 to 1994 and worked as a broadcaster.
