Fred Meyer is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Nebraska Legislature, representing the 41st District. He was appointed to this position by Governor Jim Pillen in January 2026 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Dan McKeon. Meyer previously held the same legislative seat from 2023 to 2025 following an appointment to replace Tom Briese. Prior to his legislative service, he served on the Nebraska State Board of Education from 1999 to 2010, where he held the roles of both president and vice president.
