Gabriel Mithá Ribeiro is a Portuguese politician, historian, and academic who serves as a member of the Assembly of the Republic representing the Leiria constituency. Born in Mozambique in 1965, he emigrated to Portugal in 1980 and holds a PhD in African studies. Before his political career, he worked as a teacher and columnist. A former member of the Social Democratic Party, he joined the Chega party in 2019. He is known for his academic work on colonial history and his critical views on contemporary concepts of racism.
