Gary Nkombo is a Zambian politician and businessman who has served as the Member of Parliament for Mazabuka Central since 2006. A former teacher and farmer, he previously held the position of Minister of Local Government and Rural Development from 2021 to 2025. Formerly a prominent member of the United Party for National Development (UPND), where he served as Party Whip and chairman of elections, Nkombo resigned from the party in 2026 to pursue his parliamentary candidacy as an independent.
