Gayantha Karunathilaka is a Sri Lankan politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament and the Chief Opposition Whip. Educated at Royal College Colombo, he has held several significant roles throughout his career, including serving as the Cabinet Minister of Lands and Parliament Affairs and as the Chief Government Whip. Previously associated with the United National Party (UNP), he also functioned as the party's Media Secretary and acted as a cabinet spokesman for the government. He is the nephew of the late politician Rupa Karunathilake and remains an active figure in the Sri Lankan legislative landscape.
