Geofrey Mwambe

Geoffrey Idelphonce Mwambe is a Tanzanian politician and a member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party. He currently serves as the elected Member of Parliament for the Masasi Urban constituency in the Mtwara region. Prior to his legislative career, he served as the head of the Tanzania Investment Center starting in 2017. In December 2020, he was appointed by President John Magufuli to serve as the Minister of Industry and Trade. Mwambe is recognized for his advocacy of private sector growth, his commitment to ethical standards in public office, and his promotion of an open-door policy to foster innovation and public accountability.
