George Razay

George Razay is a Syrian-born Australian politician and medical practitioner who serves as an independent member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly for the division of Bass. Before his election to state parliament in 2025, he served on the Launceston City Council and worked as a geriatrician at Launceston General Hospital, where he also held the title of clinical professor at the University of Tasmania. His political platform focuses on improving health, education, and housing systems, as well as opposition to the Macquarie Point Stadium project.
