George Simbachawene

George Boniface Taguluvala Simbachawene is a Tanzanian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for the Kibakwe constituency since 2005. A member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of State in the President’s Office for Regional Administration and Local Government, Minister of Home Affairs, and Minister for Legal and Constitutional Affairs. He briefly resigned from his ministerial duties in 2017 following his implication in a minerals report but has continued his parliamentary service and subsequent cabinet appointments under the Tanzanian government.
