Gianluca Lorenzi

Gianluca Lorenzi is an Italian politician, hotelier, and former professional curler currently serving as the Mayor of Cortina d'Ampezzo. Born in Pieve di Cadore in 1969, he had a distinguished athletic career, representing Italy in multiple world and European curling championships and winning four Italian national titles. Beyond his political and sporting roles, he serves as the president of the Curling Club Dolomiti. In 2026, he was awarded the Silver Collar of the Olympic Order by the International Olympic Committee for his contributions to the sport.
