Γιάννης Δ. Οικονόμου

Giannis Oikonomou is a Greek politician and agronomist currently serving as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament for Phthiotis. A member of the New Democracy party, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Citizen Protection, Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, and government spokesperson. His political career began in student politics, and he has previously served as a close advisor to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. In 2026, he was appointed President of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee for the agricultural sector.
