Gord Johns

Gord Johns is a Canadian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Courtenay—Alberni since 2015. A member of the New Democratic Party, he previously worked as a small business owner and served as a municipal councillor in Tofino, British Columbia. Throughout his parliamentary career, Johns has been a prominent advocate for harm reduction in the toxic drug crisis, mental health services, and environmental conservation. He has introduced numerous private member's bills and motions focused on substance use, veterans' affairs, and sustainable infrastructure, and he currently serves as the NDP critic for several portfolios including Health, Small Business, and Fisheries and Oceans.
