Gorreth Namugga

Gorreth Namugga is a Ugandan politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Mawogola County in Sembabule District. Elected in 2021 on the National Unity Platform ticket, she holds the distinction of being the first opposition politician to win an elective position in Sembabule District since 1986. Within the legislature, she serves as the Deputy Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee and as the Shadow Minister of Science, Innovations & Technology. Prior to her parliamentary career, she worked as the District Service Commission Chairperson, a school proprietor, and the Principal Procurement Officer for Masaka City.
