Shigeyuki Goto is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. A graduate of the University of Tokyo, he began his career at the Ministry of Finance before entering politics. Over his long parliamentary career, he has held several high-level cabinet positions, including Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, and Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy. He has also served as Minister for Economic Revitalization and Minister for Infectious Disease Crisis Management.
