Grégory Doucet

Grégory Doucet is a French politician and environmental activist who has served as the Mayor of Lyon since July 2020. A member of The Ecologists (formerly EELV), he is the first environmentalist to hold this office. Before entering politics, he worked extensively in the humanitarian sector, including roles with Handicap International and Planète Enfants & Développement, with field experience in the Philippines and Nepal. His mayoral tenure has been marked by a focus on urban greening, climate emergency declarations, and significant efforts to reduce automobile traffic in favor of active mobility and public transport expansion.
