Héctor Gómez Hernández is a Spanish politician and diplomat who currently serves as the Ambassador Permanent Representative of Spain to the United Nations. Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1978, he has been a prominent member of the Spanish Socialist Party. Throughout his career, he served as a member of the Congress of Deputies representing Santa Cruz de Tenerife from 2019 to 2023. Additionally, he held the position of Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism in 2023 before transitioning to his current diplomatic role in December of that year.
