Hanin Sayyed

Hanin Sayyed is a Lebanese economist and academic serving as the Minister of Social Affairs of Lebanon since February 2025. An expert in human development and social protection, she previously held a long-standing career at the World Bank, where she coordinated the response to the Syrian civil war and led social programs during the Lebanese financial crisis. She holds degrees from Stanford and Columbia University and has worked with institutions including Morgan Stanley and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
