Hans Broekhuizen is a Dutch administrator, politician, and mediator who has served as the Mayor of Het Hogeland since August 1, 2025. Previously, he held the position of Mayor of Twenterand from 2020 to 2025 and served as an alderman in Heerenveen. With an academic background in public administration and law from the Thorbecke Academie and the University of Groningen, he has held various roles in provincial government and public management. Broekhuizen is a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) and is also active as a professional mediator.
