Hans-Christoph Berndt is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Brandenburg, where he serves as the parliamentary group leader for the Alternative for Germany (AfD). A trained laboratory physician and former employee of the Charité in Berlin, he entered politics later in life and has been associated with the right-wing nationalist wing of his party. Berndt is a co-founder of the association 'Zukunft Heimat' and has been classified by the Brandenburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution as a right-wing extremist. He is known for his controversial stances on the COVID-19 pandemic and his advocacy for restrictive migration policies.
