Harivansh Narayan Singh

Harivansh Narayan Singh is an Indian journalist and politician currently serving as the 13th Deputy Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha. A distinguished journalist by profession, he previously served as a media advisor to former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar and played a pivotal role in the success of the Hindi newspaper Prabhat Khabar. Nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the President of India for his contributions to journalism, he holds the distinction of being the first nominated member to be elected as Deputy Chairperson, a position he has held for three consecutive terms.
