Harriet Businge is a Ugandan politician, teacher, and legislator currently serving as the District Woman Representative for Hoima District in the Parliament of Uganda. First elected in a 2019 by-election, she has held various leadership roles, including serving as the Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports for the Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom and as a Resident District Commissioner for Sembabule District. Businge, who holds a Bachelor of Education from Nkumba University, is also a businesswoman and the executive director of the Kabalega Education Fund. Although she was previously affiliated with the National Resistance Movement, she contested the 2021 general elections as an independent candidate.
