Harsimrat Kaur Badal

Harsimrat Kaur Badal is an Indian politician serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha representing the Bathinda constituency. A prominent member of the Shiromani Akali Dal, she previously served as the Union Cabinet Minister of Food Processing Industries in the Government of India, a position she resigned from in 2020 to protest against controversial farm legislation. Throughout her career, she has been a vocal advocate for women's empowerment and child welfare, notably launching the 'Nanhi Chhan' project to combat female foeticide and promote environmental conservation.
