Harun Mertoğlu is a Turkish politician and lawyer currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, representing the province of Rize for the Justice and Development Party. Born in 1971 in Ardeşen, he graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1992 and later earned a master's degree in business administration from Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University. Before his election to parliament in 2023, Mertoğlu had a distinguished legal career, serving as the President of the Rize Bar Association and as a member of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey. He is married and a father of two children.
