Hassan El-Khatib is an Egyptian politician and economist currently serving as the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade. Born in 1962 in Cairo, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cairo University and both a Master's and a PhD in the same field from Harvard University. Before his current ministerial role, he held significant positions in the financial sector, including serving as the CEO of the National Investment Bank and as a Vice Chairman of the National Bank of Egypt. Throughout his career, he has focused on economic development, corporate banking, and attracting foreign investment to Egypt.
