Heather Hallett, Baroness Hallett

Heather Hallett, Baroness Hallett is a British judge and a crossbench life peer in the House of Lords. A distinguished legal professional, she was the first woman to chair the Bar Council and served as a judge of the Court of Appeal. Throughout her career, she has led significant public investigations, including the inquest into the 7/7 bombings and the public inquiry into the UK government's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was created a life peer in 2019 and continues to serve as an independent member of the upper house.
